Capitalism in crisis?

Please keep in mind that what is being discussed in this article is neither capitalism, nor is it the free market.

Capitalism in Crisis

What they are actually discussing is more like mercantilism than the laissez-faire of Adam Smith.  You can tell from the statement in the article that the 2008 crisis “has forced us to rethink a lot of our assumptions, not just about Wall Street but much more broadly about how we run the economies.”

In a true free market, capitalist system the government doesn’t ‘run the economy’.  And history has shown that the only place that so-called experts and government can run the economy is into the ditch.
